Peatland restoration
Condition, moisture and depth baselined together for restoration design and funds.
Spectral data turned into defensible environmental baselines — UK Habitat classification, vegetation condition, moisture and carbon accounting for restoration and consenting.
Multispectral and hyperspectral imagery is captured concurrently with the terrain and subsurface suite, so environmental and geophysical datasets line up on the same coordinate grid. Vegetation indices, moisture estimates and surface condition are derived as GIS layers your ecology team can interrogate directly.
Classification follows the UK Habitat Classification framework, with polygons and target notes aligned to consenting evidence. Repeat surveys track change over time, which is what restoration monitoring and condition assessments actually need.
Peatland and habitat baselines feed defensible carbon accounting, supported by the peat depth models from Division 01 — a single team holding the depth, the condition and the accounting in one delivery.
Method
Habitat classes, indices and environmental targets agreed with your ecology lead.
Spectral lines flown in the same mission as the terrain and subsurface suite.
Indices computed; polygons classified to UK Habitat framework.
Habitat, moisture and condition layers issued, repeatable next season.
Deliverables
A baseline pack built for consenting, restoration and repeat monitoring.
